Create a tech architecture diagram in Figma
Use technology icons to explain a system while keeping responsibilities and connections explicit.
Sketch the system in words
Start with the main responsibilities: browser, application service, database and deployment. Write the connections before choosing logos. A logo identifies a technology; it does not explain whether a connection is a request, a queue or a data dependency.
Build the visual structure
Use the Tech Stack Icons Figma plugin or component library to add the relevant technologies. Put each icon inside a labeled container and group related services. Use arrows with short connection labels, such as “HTTPS request” or “read/write,” rather than unexplained lines.
Review the diagram with someone else
Check whether a reader can trace one request from input to storage. Remove logos that do not help explain that path. Add a legend if line styles have different meanings, and verify the diagram at the size it will appear in documentation or slides.
